The Air Force Office of Special Investigations 9th Field Investigations Squadron invites base personnel to a memorial in honor of Special Agent (Maj.) Adrianna M. Vorderbruggen Jan. 21, at 1 p.m.

The service is at the Soundside Club main ballroom, 107 Kissam St., Bldg. 90910 at Hurlburt Field.  It is located on the South side of Hwy 98 from the main base.

Vorderbruggen was killed in action with five other USAF OSI and security forces personnel while on a foot patrol in a village north of Bagram Airield, Afghanistan, Dec. 21.

As the commander of AFOSI Expeditionary Detachment 2405, Bagram Airfield and a member of the Eglin community since 2013, she was admired by her peers and co-workers as someone who exemplified core values and a commitment to the Air Force mission, according to Brig. Gen. Christopher Azzano, 96th Test Wing commander.  Her deployment to Afghanistan this year marked her second time serving as a detachment commander and a leader of Airmen under challenging circumstances.

Those attending, please consider carpooling and allow extra time for traffic and limited access via one gate to the South side of Hurlburt Field.
