'The Assistant Fire Chief' is ready to train

The new fire training facility pictured on the right, dubbed “The Assistant Fire Chief” replaces the previous burn house, pictured on the left. The $680,000 state-of-the-art training facility supports high-angle rescue operations, laddering, rappelling, roof penetration, helo deployment training simulations, floor collapse and the only four-story fire training elevator shaft in Northwest Florida.
