Eglin nurses, technicians provide essential inpatient care

Staci McCoy, a licensed practical nurse with the 96th Medical Group’s Inpatient Squadron’s Multi-Service Unit, measures drainage from a patient’s closed wound suctioning device, Feb. 24 at Eglin Hospital on Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The nurses monitor output volumes for any indication of excessive or abnormal bleeding. The IPTS provides care for all of Eglin’s inpatients. Approximately 380 – 450 patients are admitted to the MSU for post-surgical care each month. (U.S. Air Force photo/Ilka Cole)
