Colonel Andrew J. Toth is the Commander, 33rd Fighter Wing, Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. He is responsible for F-35 A/B/C (Joint Strike Fighter) flying training for the Marine Corps, Navy, Air Force and eight coalition partners. Initially, 59 aircraft and three flying squadrons, one for each service/aircraft variant, will be established at Eglin Air Force Base. The unique nature of this combined and joint fighter wing accommodates service specific requirements in a non-traditional Air Force Fighter Wing structure.

Colonel Toth earned his commission through the U.S Air Force Academy and is a Distinguished Graduate of Undergraduate Pilot Training. He is a graduate of the USAF F-15C Weapons Instructor Course and a Command Pilot with more than 2,500 flying hours in F-15C aircraft. He has served as Chief of Weapons and Tactics at the squadron and wing level, Assistant Director of Operations, Director of Operations, Squadron Commander, Deputy Group Commander, and Group Commander. He attended Senior Developmental Education at the College of Naval Warfare in Newport, R.I., has flown air defense missions during Operation NOBLE EAGLE and logged over 330 hours of combat flight time in Operations SOUTHERN WATCH and IRAQI FREEDOM.
