The Aerospace Survivability and Safety Flight provides specialized engineering support to the Air Force and other government agencies as the US Air Force's center of expertise for vulnerability reduction and for subsystem safety, sustainment and affordability. The ASSF serves as the Air Force's RTO (Responsible Test Organization) for congressionally mandated LFT and landing gear subsystem testing. The Aerospace Survivability and Safety Flight also manages the Department of Defense Survivability/Vulnerability Information Analysis Center (SURVIAC).
