5/31/2012 - EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- EXERCISE-EXERCISE-EXERCISE

Hurricane Condition Two was declared by the 96th Air Base Wing commander at today at 9 a.m. due to the threat of Hurricane Carolina.

Hurricane Condition Two means destructive winds of 58 m.p.h or greater are possible within 24 hours. Hurricane Carolina is expected to be a Category Three storm and make landfall Friday morning.

Eglin officials also remind people to monitor television or radio broadcasts for the National Hurricane Center's latest forecast. Information is also posted at www.eglin.af.mil.
