Celebrated hero

Senior Airman Brandon Harrell, 96th Civil Engineer Squadron explosive ordnance disposal journeyman, watches T-6 Texans fly overhead with his daughter, Hannah, at the Red, White and Blue Celebration Aug. 19. Kevin Schweitzer, 1st Special Operations Maintenance Squadron, earned his black belt in June. The 12-year-old has been training for four years. Kuk Sool Won encompasses many different "styles" of traditional martial arts. It combines kicking, punching, throwing, falling, and joint-locking as well as a myriad of weapons techniques into a dynamic 'hard-soft' style, emphasizing speed and fluidity. In the scenario, while securing the vehicles from a DoE convoy on base, the DoE truck experienced an engine fire and two DoE personnel suffered severe burns while trying to extinguish the fire. Recovery road
