AFMC command chief calls on Eglin
Chief Master Sgt. Eric Jaren, command chief of Air Force Material Command, spoke to Airmen about issues impacting their careers during an enlisted call, Feb. 17. A little more than a month after taking his new position, the chief said he aims to ensure Airmen know their work is meaningful. He said one of his top priorities is to focus on Airmen and their families, making sure they are well trained, equipped and prepared to support the in-garrison and deployed mission. The 28-year veteran also stressed the importance on fulfilling educational and professional requirements, but also to step outside of the box because, “the opportunity of a lifetime must be taken during the lifetime of the opportunity.” (U.S. Air Force photo/ Airman 1st Class Anthony Jennings)
