TALLADEGA, Ala. -- Ken Schrader, No. 21, blew a right rear tire on Lap 153, sending the Ford Motorcraft Air Force Ford Fusion hard into the wall betweens turn three and four. The car was too damaged to continue and the team was credited with a 31st place finish on the day. A team of firefighters from Eglin Air Force Base joined ranks with more than 150 emergency personnel from all over the country to provide to the spring and fall Talladega NASCAR races to make sure the drivers and race teams are safe. 2007 Air Force Association Test and Evaluation Team of the Year
The Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center Small Diameter Bomb Test Team were named the Air Force Association's Test and Evaluation Team of the Year. The AFOTEC Detachment 2 team, based at Eglin AFB, Fla., received their award during the September 24-26 Air and Space Conference and Technology Exposition in Washington, D.C.
