Last 33rd Eagles

An F-15 three-ship flies over the 33rd Fighter Wing's now empty ramp, marking the end of their 30-year legacy of Eagle driving here Sept. 8. Aircraft will not begin to fill up the ramp until the Joint Strike Fighter arrives here next year, following the Oct. 1 wing transition to Air Education and Training Command. New home

The F-15A was moved to its new home in front of the Northwest Florida Regional Airport July 13. The F-15A was a training aircraft for the 33d Fighter Wing and is now on loan from The National Museum of the United States Air Force at Wright-Patterson AFB. Since 1978, 33rd Fighter Wing F-15s have flown over Eglin and the local community.
