EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Senior Airman Karen Sweet, 96th Medical Support Squadron biomedical equipment technician, test the functionality of a electrosurgical analyzer used in operating rooms to cauterize inscissions. The staff sergeant select was recently awarded as the U.S. Air Force Outstanding Biomedical Equipment Repair Airman of the Year for her skill and professionalism. From uncovering a fault in fetal monitor time synchronization to the mass recall of 127 defibrillators, Airman Sweet tackeled each task with efficiency. Wyrick Commitment to Excellence Award for his influence and dedication to the medical professionals beginning May 1982. Over his career, Colonel Rennie has won several Air Force level awards. EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Stephen, Stephanie and Earl Leavins pose with an eight-point whitetail deer Stephanie took at the 2008 Eglin Air Force Base Mobility Impaired Hunt. Stephanie's rifle is mounted on a swivel stand connected to her chair. She activates the trigger on the chairs footplate which sends an electrical charge to a solenoid, manually firing the gun. Boxers visit Eglin Airmen
EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Airman 1st Class Cody Maskell and Maj. Michael Spanich explain the cockpit of a F-15 fighter jet to Roy Jones Jr. during a visit to the base Dec. 4.
