Airmen run fitness gauntlet

Airman were tested with a 3-mile run and four fitness stations along the route during the 96th Air Base Wing Fitness Event June 18. Hosted by the 96th Medical Group, the fitness event touted a medical theme. The 3-mile run was broken up with four stations with regular fitness exercises and also challenge exercises such as litter crawls, Self-Aid Buddy Care, a bedpan fill and a race to don personal protective equipment. EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Command Chiefs Thomas Westermeyer, 96th Air Base Wing, and William Harner, 53d Wing, look at the name, Capt. Lance P. Sijan, at the traveling Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall. Capt. Sijan was an Air Force officer and fighter pilot who was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor, the United States' highest military award in 1976. The Wall will be at the C.H.
