In the dark
On-base residents will experience a power outage Sept. 29 and Oct. 13 while the 796th Civil Engineer Squadron performs maintenance to the base electrical system.
The power outage will begin at 7 a.m and last until 11:30 a.m. The outage is needed to change out four power poles on primary distribution circuits.

Clinic taking shape
Construction is underway at the Eglin Community Base Outpatient Clinic. The $5.2 million, 16,700 square-foot clinic is a cooperative effort between the base and the Veterans Health Care Network and is located near the 96th Medical Group's regional hospital. The clinic is projected to open in early 2008.
