Observance proclamation

Col. Sal Nodjomian, 96th Air Base Wing Commander, speaks with Larry Chavers and Kirby Locklear, Native American Heritage Month coordinators, after signing a proclamation that November 2010 is National Native American Heritage Observance Month on Eglin AFB. The proclamation requests all military, civilian and family members to mark the observance by participating in planned activities. The 23rd Annual Thunderbird Intertribal Powwow begins Friday, at 7 p.m. with the Grand Entry and Intertribal dancing at the Mullet Festival Site in Niceville.
