EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. - A 40th Flight Test Squadron F-16D, F-15D, and A-10C fly in formation over the Choctowatchee Bay. The 40th Flight Test Squadron flew the opening formation for Eglin's 75th anniversary airshow. More than 125,000 were in attendance for the show April 10-11, enjoying a variety of aerial performances and static displays. This was Eglin?s first open house since 2007 and was timed to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the installation. C-17 Max Take Off

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla - A C-17 III Globemaster demostrates it's superior take off abilities. The Globemaster performed a max climb, catching the attention of the crowd. More than 125,000 were in attendance for the show April 10-11, enjoying a variety of aerial performances and static displays. Problem-solving projects wait to be judged during the Marsville event at Eglin Air Force Base April 16. Children were asked to create a project using only recyclable materials that would solve a core component problem of living on Mars. More than 120 students from Wright, Longwood and Valparaiso elementary schools gathered on Eglin for a single mission: build a life-sustaining pod on Mars. The 15th annual Marsville event is a collaborative effort between Eglin and the surrounding community's elementary school fifth-grade students, and faculty members.
