Welcome to the 6th Ranger Training Battalion page. The battalion has a unique mission, but also a long and colorful heritage over 50 years.
Eglin Air Force Base's Auxiliary Field Six is the site of Camp James E. Rudder and the home the Army's 6th Ranger Training Battalion. The final phase of the US Army Ranger Course is conducted in the coastal swamp around Camp Rudder, where more than 2,500 Ranger students are trained each year.
