Women’s History Month begins

This year’s Women’s History Month theme is “Nevertheless She Persisted: Women Who Fight All Forms of Discrimination Against Women.”


The month’s events here include:

March 1 - 22 - Women’s History Month essay contest for Eglin and Lewis Elementary School children.

March 18 - Readings at Child Development Center #2, from 9 to 9:30 a.m. and CDC #3, from 9:30 to 10 a.m.  Volunteer readers are needed.  For more information, call (850) 855-8693.   

March 29, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. - Women’s History Month Luncheon, Air Force Enlisted Village Commons Building, 92 Sunset Lane, Shalimar.  $10 per person.  RSVP to the einvitation or call 882-8668 by March 26.
