Applicants sought for attaché duty

The Air Force is accepting applications until Dec. 7 from senior captains, majors and lieutenant colonels to fill 18 air attaché positions reporting June 2009 through August 2011.

Officers selected for attaché duty will attend training during the period of April 2008 to January 2009.

An operations background, foreign language skills and experience in the region are all highly desired for attaché candidates.

Eligible applicants must:
-- be released from their functional manager to compete for an assignment;
-- take or have taken the Defense Language Aptitude Battery Test; and
-- be a U.S. citizen with all immediate family members (parents, siblings, spouse and children) all U.S. citizens as well.

Officers selected for an interview will be notified by Jan. 31, 2008.
