SEEK EAGLE Pursuit - June

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Welcome to the monthly mission report for the Air Force SEEK EAGLE Office.  These are the tasks Airmen and civilians progressed on in June.

Leaflet dispensers

AFSEO successfully built-up and measured the first of two Payload Delivery Unit-5 leaflet dispensers for B-52 flight test. These stores carry hockey puck-like rolls of paper that are employed to support psychological operations designed to counter adversary propaganda and influence the behavior of a targeted population. This test effort will add new operational capability to the B-52.

AGR-20 certification

AFSEO delivered the final test that will provide the Combat Air Forces with a new multi-purpose low collateral 2.75-inch guided rocket for both the A-10 and the F-16. This is the last Quick Reaction Certification to support the AGR-20 Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System, an effort that began in Oct 2015.

GBU-12 flight tests on B-52

AFSEO performed the first of three GBU-12 separations flight test missions utilizing the conventional rotary launcher of the B-52’s weapons bay. The mission was conducted over the Precision Impact Range Area at Edwards AFB, California. The CRL adds greater capacity, flexibility and smart weapon precision to the B-52.
