Black History Month kicks off Feb. 1

This year’s Black History Month theme is “African Americans in Times of War.”


The month’s events here include:

Feb. 6, 2 p.m. - proclamation reading, Wing Staff Meeting

Feb. 7, 11 a.m. - mentorship panel and soul food extravaganza (free of charge), Luke’s Place

Feb. 8, time to be determined - African-American readings, Eglin Elementary School

Feb. 17, 4 p.m. - gospel explosion, Niceville Civic Center, 204 N. Partin Dr., Niceville

Feb. 28, 2 p.m. – Black History Month key event, Air Force Armament Museum
