Christmas wishes are hung on Eglin's Angel Trees

An "Angel" request is chosen from one of four Angel Tree locations at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The Chapel's Angel Tree program is going on now through Dec. 8 when all presents have to be turned back in. The Distinguished Flying Cross is a military decoration awarded to any officer or enlisted member of the United States Armed Forces who distinguishes himself or herself in support of operations by "heroism or extraordinary achievement while participating in an aerial flight. New energy idea

The newly created Eglin Energy Management Center began a contest between three of Eglin's largest buildings to see which one could conserve the most energy for a month, beginning Feb. 11. The 53rd Wing and the 308th Armament Systems Wing, occupiers of the identical six-floor buildings, are in a "heated" competition to see how they can reduce energy cost and consumption.
