Bronze star

Chief Master Sgt. Marcus R. Snoddy, the 96th Test Wing command chief, was awarded the Bronze Star at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. He was honored for meritorious service as commander master sergeant while deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom with the 455th Air Expeditionary Wing, Bagram Field, Afghanistan. According to the medal certificate, as the senior leader for a combat wing composed of more than 4,000 military and civilian personnel, Snoddy’s mission-focused leadership proved invaluable towards delivering unprecedented combat power projection success. He worked tirelessly to field and equip a specialized task force of security force teams charged with patrolling contested battlespaces in the vicinity of Bagram Airfield.
