Beginning Oct. 28, a paving and resurfacing project will begin on Eglin Boulevard from May Road to the East Gate.

The construction will be done at night from 6 p.m. to 5 a.m. through Nov. 25.  The triggered stoplights along Eglin Boulevard will no longer function.  They will revert to timed lights until after the construction is completed.

The resurfacing is one of the base’s sustainment projects.  It has been more than 20 years since Eglin Boulevard was repaved, according to Michael Newell, 96th Civil Engineer Group.

Signage will be posted to inform drivers of construction and abrupt surface changes along the route.
