EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --
The Airman and Family Readiness Center here distributed more than $1.4 million in grants from Oct. 15-23, to approximately 1,700 military and civilian personnel, retirees and reservists impacted by Hurricane Michael.
The center disbursed part of more than $6 million the Air Force Aid Society made available through a stabilizing assistance grant program, according to Janice Barnes, A&FRC flight chief.
Eligible active-duty Airmen, Air Force reservists and Air National Guardsmen received a $750 grant for single Airmen and a $1,500 grant for Airmen with dependents.
Eligible retirees received a $750 grant for single retirees and a $1,500 grant for retirees with dependents.
