96 TW to hold active assailant exercise

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. --

The 96th Test Wing is scheduled to conduct an active assailant exercise Jan. 7 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.

The annual training exercise will take place at Eglin Elementary School, located on the installation, and is intended to test emergency response plans.

The exercise was planned in conjunction with a scheduled teacher workday. No students will be present or involved in exercise activities.

There will be increased activity at the school involving first responders and emergency response vehicles throughout the exercise.
