EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Team Eglin members who vote with federal post card applications and absentee ballots are encouraged to submit them on time to vote in the Nov. 3 general election.
Members voting with an absentee ballot should submit by Aug. 1. They can get an FPCA and a federal write-in absentee ballot at fvap.org. Hard copy forms and voting-related supplies are available at the Airman and Family Readiness Center.
The FPCA allows voters to use the federal write-in absentee ballot as a backup ballot, if needed.
Mary Davis, Eglin voting assistance program coordinator, said eligible members should register to vote and request their ballots as soon as possible to avoid potential mail delays or disruptions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
“In this important election year, every vote counts,” she said. “Voting is one of the most important ways to shape and change the future.”
The FPCA provides voters with an option to receive blank balloting materials electronically. States send ballots out 45 days before the election.
Voters can follow up with their election offices ensure their request was processed.
