EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- As of this morning, Tropical Storm Delta is currently southwest of Jamaica and is expected to continue to move northwest at nine knots entering the Gulf of Mexico early Wednesday.
The storm is expected to form into a Category 2 hurricane, making landfall late Friday morning around southeast Louisiana. The expected impacts to Eglin and the ranges are chances of 35-knot sustained winds with gusts into the low 40s Thursday evening into Friday morning.
