Hurricane Condition Three has been declared by the 96th Air Base Wing commander as of 8:18 a.m., due to the threat of Hurricane Carolina.

Hurricane Condition Three means destructive winds of 58 MPH or greater are possible within 48 hours.

People should make sure they have adequate supplies of water, money, and non-perishable food. No pets allowed in shelters.

Eglin officials also remind people to monitor television or radio broadcasts for the National Hurricane Center's latest forecast, as well as www.eglin.af.mil.
