AFAF needs help to help others Published Jan. 25, 2012 Team Eglin Public Affairs EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Albert Einstein said, "The value of a man resides in what he gives and not in what he is capable of receiving." The same holds true today as the 2012 Air Force Assistance Fund campaign kicks off Feb. 6 and runs through March 16. The campaign kicks off with a breakfast at 8 a.m., Feb. 6 at Luke's Place. All Team Eglin members are invited to attend. In the tradition of Airmen helping Airmen, donations from the 38th annual campaign will benefit active-duty, Reserve, Guard, retired Airmen and their families. The goal for the installation this year is $114,583. Servicemembers can contribute to AFAF through a one-time donation of cash, check or money order or payroll deduction.
