Test wing continues to prepare for Tropical Storm conditions

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Team Eglin leadership and units continue to take actions to secure the installation and associated sites for the arrival of tropical storm conditions.

“Eglin AFB is prioritizing the safety and security of our personnel, and we will continue to closely monitor and respond appropriately to any upcoming weather conditions,” said Brig. Gen. Mark Massaro, 96th Test Wing commander.

The threat of hazardous weather remains as Tropical Storm Helene approaches the area. As a result, the 96th Medical Group may begin to reschedule appoints and encourages patients to ensure they have medications and medical supplies for at least 10 days.  Other services across the base may also be impacted.

Base leadership encourages Team Eglin to review their family plans, monitor news broadcasts and the National Hurricane Center’s latest forecasts.
