The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds will headline the 75th Anniversary Eglin Air Force Base Air Show this weekend, Apr. 10-11.

Gates open at 9 a.m. to the general public and it's free for anyone attending this event. The gates will close to the general public at 3 p.m.

Department of Defense ID card holders are encouraged to use the East (Valparaiso) Gate while the general public should use the West (Shalimar) Gate to enter the base since most of the parking is located on the west side of the base. When arriving, be prepared to follow the easy-to-read signs and the directions of Security Forces members directing traffic.

All guests and cars are subject to random vehicle and personal searches. Visual inspections of hand-carried items will be conducted and all guests will be required to go through screening devices similar to those used at airports.

Cell phones, pagers, handheld portable electrical devices, camera and camcorders, small folding chairs, umbrellas and sunshades, wheelchairs, baby bags and strollers are allowed on the flightline. The following items are not allowed: weapons (regardless of permit) including firearms, knives, replica or toy weapons, alcoholic beverages, pets (other than service animals), glass containers, ice chests or coolers, bags larger than a small purse or fanny pack, bicycles, roller skates, roller blades or skateboards and remote-controlled vehicles.
