EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Senior Airman Cameron Cochran, 96th Security Forces Squadron, shoots Airman 1st Class William Anderson, 96th SFS, with a taser to demonstrate the non-lethal weapon’s stopping power during a 2009 Citizen’s Police Academy here, Nov. 17. Airman Anderson was one of four volunteers who experienced the taser's effectiveness during a demonstration to help calm any fears that tasers are potentially deadly. The five-week program aims to educate spouses of servicemembers and civilian personnel of the services Security Forces provides for the community. The class features DUI procedures, weapons breakdowns and K-9 demonstration. The class is held every Tuesday at 6 p.m. in Building 229.
