Tropical Storm Ida update

Eglin AFB, Fla. -- Due to the current projected path of Tropical Storm Ida, all non-mission critical personnel are released at 5:30 p.m. today unless notified by their supervisors. No base deliveries will be accepted after 5:30 p.m. The Base Exchange will close at 5 p.m., the West Gate Shoppette will close at 6 p.m. and the East Gate Shoppette will close at 5 p.m. and the Commissary will close at 6:30 p.m. today.

Nov. 10:
· Eglin will operate with mission critical personnel for base reconstitution only.
· The East Gate will close at 2 a.m. and reopen no later than 8 a.m.
· The West Gate will remain open.
· Only the 96th Medical Group Emergency Room will remain open for emergency care.
· Eglin recreation areas will be closed.
· The West Gate Shoppette will reopen at 4 p.m.
· Normal operations on Eglin will resume at 4 p.m. unless otherwise directed. AAFES stores and the Commissary will resume regularly scheduled holiday hours

Nov. 11.
Eglin officials also remind people to monitor television or radio broadcasts for the National Hurricane Center's latest forecast. Information is also posted at www.eglin.af.mil.
