Important information about government travel cards Published Oct. 20, 2008 By Angie Blackwell 96th Comptrollers Squadron EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- With the change to Citibank as the Department of Defense Government Travel Charge Card provider, it is important to be well-informed during program transition. With only six weeks until transition completion, please be aware of the following important transition dates and instructions. Card Receipt Verification: As cards are received, cardholders are encouraged to verify receipt immediately, either by calling toll-free 1-888-514-2922 or online at http://www.citimanager.com/DoDTravel. Outside the U.S. call collect 1-706-494-5028. Remember, cards will not be valid for use until November 30. October 31: Cardholders should notify their APC if they have not received their card. APCs can verify the address of record where the card was sent. If still unable to locate, cardholder should contact their APC to submit an Undeliverable Card Report form to Citi. Citi will close the initial card account number and issue a new card with a new account number. The forms are available at http://www.citimanager.com/dodhome. November 1: 24/7 PIN request service begins to establish a Personal Identification Number (PIN) for ATM cash withdrawals. Beginning November 1, cardholders can access the automated system to customize a PIN by calling 1-800-200-7056. November 7: Citi will begin sending temporary Electronic Access System (EAS) Registration IDs and Passwords to APCs. Although you will not yet access data at that time, we ask that you self-register immediately upon receiving your Registration email. You must complete the self registration within 30 days of receiving the email. November 7: Electronic Access System (EAS) Customer Service available Mon-Sat 7a.m.-9p.m. EST. November 7: Paper applications for new cardholders (IBA and CBA) will be available on http://www.citimanager.com/dodhome. November 10: Citi begins processing new paper applications. November 14: Last date to make changes in Bank of America's EAGLS so that changes will be reflected in Citi's EAS. November 24: Forms will be available on http://www.citimanager.com/dodhome November 30: Contract start date: Begin using Citi cards as of 11/30/08 12:00AM EST November 30: APC, Transaction Dispute, and Designated Billing Guides will be uploaded to http://www.citimanager.com/dodhome , click the Forms/Guides link November 30: 24/7 Helpdesk support for online statements begins
