The East and West Gate Visitor Control Centers will expand their services beginning Oct. 22.

"All Pass and Registration services will now be conducted at the East Gate Visitor Control Center which includes expanded customer service hours," said Master Sgt. Mark Wilson, 96th Security Forces Plans and Programs superintendent.

Services conducted at the East Gate Visitor Control Center will include the following:

Visitor Passes
Contractor Badges
Contractor Escort Badges (NEW)
Honorary Commander Badges (NEW)
Geneva Convention Badges (NEW)
PCS/Separation Out-Processing requirements (NEW)
Restricted Area Badges (NEW)
Civil Service ID Cards (NEW)
Civil Service Fingerprinting (NEW)

Services conducted at the West Gate Visitor Control Center will include the following:

Visitor Passes
Contractor Badges
Contractor Escort Badges (NEW)
Honorary Commander Badges (NEW)
Geneva Convention Badges (NEW)
PCS/Separation Out-Processing requirements (NEW)

Hours of operation for these services will be available from 6 a.m. until 10 p.m., Monday through Friday (excluding weekends and holidays).

Persons may obtain Visitor Passes only at either the East or West Gate Visitor Control Center from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. (including weekends and holidays). No other services will be provided during this time.

"This is a win-win situation," Sergeant Wilson said. "Duties normally conducted at the Pass and Registration office inside Bldg 210 were only offered between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. By moving our services to the East Gate Visitor Control Center, we are now able to provide an additional nine hours of service. This will tremendously improve our customer service commitment to everyone, including shift workers."

Wait times are anticipated to dramatically decreased due to the extended hours of operation. However, the busiest times for these services are 8 to 9 a.m., 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and 4 to 5 p.m.

"At the same time, we have almost eliminated special travel needs when completing out-processing checklists, Sergeant Wilson said. "Simply stop by the East or West Visitor Control Center on your way to work or home and have the out-processing checklist signed off. Force protection will also be enhanced, eliminating the need for a person to enter the base to complete a procedure that use to be conducted at Bldg 210."
