Wright-Patterson Air Force Base to host FOX network's FOX & Friends morning news program Published June 6, 2007 By Kathleen Lopez HQ AFMC Public Affairs WRIGHT-PATTERSON AIR FORCE BASE, Ohio (AFMC) -- Making its third Air Force stop on its Salute to the Troops Tour, the FOX News Network's FOX & Friends morning program will broadcast live, here, on June 8 from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Co-anchor Brian Kilmeade will be on location telecasting reports to his co-anchors in New York City, as well as to a worldwide audience, about the missions and events unique to the base, and interviewing some of the people who make them happen. Individuals scheduled to be interviewed and topics scheduled to be discussed include: Gen. Bruce Carlson, commander of Air Force Materiel Command, headquartered, here, who will talk about Air Force issues and heritage, as well as AFMC's unique contributions to the warfighter; Maj. Gen. Ted Bowlds, commander of the Air Force Research Laboratory, who will explain several warfighting technologies; and Lt. Col. (Dr.) Mark Cucuzzella, 2006 overall winner of the USAF Marathon, who will share tips on running and other wellness-related issues. Placing Ohio's largest single-site employer in the national spotlight, the FOX & Friends program will broadcast live from the flight line of the 445th Airlift Wing, home of the C-5 Galaxy, in front of an audience of troops currently assigned to Wright-Patt, but whose hometowns are all over the world. The Air Force Band of Flight will also be on hand showcasing the same talents they share when deployed. In the event of inclement weather, the program will broadcast live from the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
