The EJFC shuttered a few years ago due to the COVID-19 pandemic and this first step is begin it once again.  The goal of the council is to provide a voice for junior members to senior leadership and a cohort group to provide commanders and other leaders with ideas, issues, and concerns of the junior workforce.

The EJFC also provides a networking community for its members. When it was active, the EJFC provided Eglin members with base tours, leadership speaking events, networking opportunities, professional development events to include a very popular mock interview and resume workshop event, and regularly briefed base leadership.

Members also took up roles within the council experienced working as a team solving challenging problems and learning firsthand professional leadership while serving the greater workforce.
