EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Beginning May 7, all visitors and contractors, age 18 and up must present a REAL ID card to receive a pass to access the base.

The only accepted alternative to a REAL ID is a valid passport.

Those without a REAL driver’s license, identification card, or passport will not be granted a pass.  Anyone with a current base pass will not need to obtain a new one but must have a REAL ID to renew or receive another pass when the current one expires.

People with a Common Access Card or a Uniformed Services Identification Card are not required to have a REAL ID, because those types of identification are valid for base access.
