96th Medical Group welcomes new leader

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. – Col. Tara Lovell assumed command of the 96th Medical Group July 11, 2025, during an official change of command ceremony.

Brig. Gen. Mark Massaro, 96th Test Wing commander, served as presiding officer. "Lovell brings a broad scope of experience," said Massaro. "Her leadership will take the organization to higher heights."

Lovell leads more than 2,000 military, civilian, and contract personnel dedicated to delivering medical care and mission support. Together, they serve a community of over 92,000 beneficiaries, including active duty members, retirees, and their families.
