AF seeks proposals for Eglin golf course redevelopment

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Air Force Civil Engineer Center and the 96th Test Wing seek a public or private partner to lease and enhance Eglin’s golf course and surrounding property.

Through the Enhanced Use Lease Program, the Eglin proposal includes all or part of a 603-acre parcel for a golf course improvement project that includes financing, permitting, development, construction, ownership, maintenance and operations.

The EUL program makes Air Force land non-excess, underutilized property, but not needed for current missions available for compatible commercial development. The leases offer mutual economic benefit to both the Air Force and potential offerors.

The lease opportunity awarded through a source selection process is modeled from the Federal Acquisition Regulation. To proceed, the Air Force receives lease payments equal to or above fair market value.

The Final Request for Lease Proposal, AFCEC-25-R-0001, is available at SAM.gov. Proposal submissions are due by Sept. 19, 2025, at 5 p.m. central standard time.
