Eglin conducts munitions test in the Gulf

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Air Force will conduct munitions testing in the Gulf of

America Aug. 26 from 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.  

Back-up missions are scheduled for Aug. 27 and 28 between 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

All vessels are required to remain clear of the active hazard area during these tests, approximately

30 nautical miles south of Fort Walton Beach, Fla., and approximately 70 nautical miles south of

Apalachicola, Fla.

Advisories and local notice to mariners will be broadcast on Channel 16 and HF upper sideband

2182 kilohertz by the Eglin Joint Test and Training Operations Control Center.
