The first F-35 Lightning II arrived in October last year ushering in a new era of testing that will begin soon for the 96th Test Wing.

The aircraft, known as AF-3 will belong to the Cyber Systems Integration Lab under the 48th Cyberspace Test Squadron.  The Lab, currently working toward official stand up, will focus on risk mitigation associated with all aspects of the joint strike fighter program.  The aircraft will reside at the 33rd Fighter Wing, but will eventually be located and maintained by the 96th Test Wing.  Imagery by the 33rd FW.
