With flare: F-15EX unleashes defensive fireworks

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The Air Force's newest fighter aircraft took to the skies over gulf coast April 3 to test its defensive capabilities.

The F-15EX Eagle II released flares in various flight patterns inside of Eglin's air ranges.  Imagery by the Tech Sgt Thomas Barley.
