School zone to expand on Gaffney, May Roads

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- With school opening Monday, motorists travelling near the Eglin Elementary School will need to take extra caution as new speed limits and an expanded school zone will be in place.

All of Gaffney and May Roads will now be 30 mph, down from the previously posted 35 mph.

Additionally, the school zone will be expanded to the west from the school beyond May Road, and a portion of May Road will be included in the school zone.

Signage is expected to be in place by Monday.
