Eglin conserves today for a secure tomorrow

EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- Earth Day is April 22, and the theme this year is "Conserve Today. Secure Tomorrow."

"The Air Force's theme falls right in line with what Eglin is doing," said Brian Kelly, Eglin Earth Day coordinator. "We're asking volunteers to help us do maintenance on Timberlake Trail on base and a range cleanup project on the reservation."

An Earth Day golf tournament is April 16th at the Eglin Golf Course.

For those interested in participating in either of the cleanup projects call Mike Gilliam, Eglin Earth Day coordinator, at 882-7662. Volunteers will be provided a free lunch after the activities.
