Lawn services provided to base residents Published Sept. 4, 2013 Corvias Military Living EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- The to-do lists of Eglin's on-base residents will soon be shorter. Corvias Military Living will provide new services aimed at making life easier for families beginning in September. Residents will no longer need to mow their grass beginning Sept. 3. Instead, Corvias's contractor, Munie Greencare, will complete the chore. Lawns will be mowed more frequently during the growing season, and less frequently when the grass is dormant. Residents can view their home's September lawn care schedule at the newly updated airforce.corviasmilitaryliving.com/eglin. Munie will also provide seasonal services, including spring and fall clean-ups, weeding, and shrub pruning. "We are excited to provide these services to our Air Force families and give our residents more time to devote to the things they enjoy," said Stan Morehead, program manager at Corvias. "All residents have to do is prepare their yard for their lawn care day. We'll do the rest." Residents must do the following to receive lawn care: · Remove toys, trash, furniture, and other items from grassy areas. · Remove pet waste from the yard. · Keep pets indoors on the service day. · Unlock gates. Families who prefer to maintain their lawn must contact the Community Office. Residents who opt-out of lawn care services are expected to mow their lawn to the same standard of Munie. In addition to lawn care, pest control will be available year-round. Service details and dates will be provided to residents prior to the first pest control treatment. Residents may also submit a service request to the Community Office when pest control services are needed. Corvias will also provide curbside pick-up for trash, bulk trash, and recycling. Dorado, a Corvias contractor, will continue to collect refuse each week Monday. Residents can view their collection schedules here.
