Housing maintenance services begin Sept. 1 Published Aug. 27, 2013 By Brandon Masters Corvias Military Living EGLIN AIR FORCE BASE, Fla. -- On Sept. 1, Corvias Military Living will begin providing maintenance services to Eglin's on-base housing residents. Corvias offers residents several convenient ways to submit maintenance service requests. "We want the service request process to be simple for our residents," said Mark Capovani, program manager at Corvias Military Living. "We encourage everyone to submit their requests in the way that is easiest for them." Eglin on-base housing residents may submit their work orders to the Corvias community office using one of the following accepted methods: Phone: 850-613-5051 E-mail: Eglin@corvias.com Fax: 850-613-6505 Website: www.airforce.corviasmilitaryliving.com In-person at the community office: 38 Hatchee Rd. The community office is open Monday through Saturday, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The office will be open on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 2, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. All maintenance requests are handled by the Corvias maintenance team, who wear Corvias uniforms. The maintenance team prioritizes work requests, according to the following system: Emergency - Corvias provides 24-hour emergency maintenance response every day. Emergency service requests must be submitted in-person or by phone when the community office is open. After business hours, emergency work orders should be placed by phone. The response time for all emergency service requests will be within one hour. Some examples of maintenance emergencies include burst or frozen pipes, sewer back-up, or an electrical short. Residents should call 911 immediately in the event of any life-threatening emergency, such as fire, flood or medical emergency. Once the resident has contacted 911, they are asked to call the community office as soon as it is safe to do so. Urgent - Completion time within five working days. Urgent work is required to correct a condition that could become an emergency. Some examples include an inoperable light fixture or a broken garbage disposal. Routine - Completion time within 15 working days. Routine work is needed for an inconvenience that does not pose a hazard or a potential hazard. This may include a broken drawer or loose towel bar. In addition to these maintenance services, Corvias will provide a self-help option for those residents who prefer to complete minor repairs in their home. Families may visit the community office during business hours, where they can obtain the necessary tools and other items. "We are happy to address our families' maintenance needs, no matter the size of the service request," said Capovani. "However, we will continue to provide them with the self-help option if they prefer to use that service instead." Residents are encouraged to follow up with the Corvias community office on any outstanding work requests to ensure they have not been lost through the transition.
