Brig. Gen. Evan Dertien, 96th Test Wing commander, speaks to Airmen during his first commander’s call at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla., July 20. Dertien stressed the importance of every Airman’s role in support of the wing’s test mission and in providing agile mission support to mission partners. He also talked about Eglin’s role in the nation’s defense. At the beginning of the session Airmen were encouraged to log on to their smart phones in real time to submit questions for the commander.
