Col. Colin Miller took command of the 46th Test Wing from Col. Michael Brewer July 22 at a ceremony on base.

Miller is now responsible for missions dealing with developmental testing, evaluation of conventional munitions, command and control systems, navigation and guidance systems, and several new BRAC missions, including special operations and the joint strike fighter.

Maj. Gen. Charles Davis, commander of the Air Armament Center, credited Brewer for his dedication in making the wing a most invaluable asset.

Before turning over the ceremonial flag, Brewer acknowledged the support of his family and his command.

"I stand on the shoulders of men and women at Eglin AFB", said Brewer. "It's been my honor."

After receiving the flag, Miller thanked the people who helped him to this point in his life.

"It takes a village to run a group, a squadron, and many have helped me get here," said Miller. "I'm excited by the challenges to come."

Miller comes from Edwards Air Force Base, Calif., where he served as commander for the 412th Operations Group.

Brewer leaves to be commander of the Arnold Engineering Development Center at Arnold Air Force Base, Tenn.
