Weather balloon release
Airman 1st Class Timothy White, 96th Weather Squadron, releases a helium-filled weather balloon March 1 at Eglin Air Force Base, Fla. The balloon carries a radiosonde device that gathers information like GPS coordinates, wind speed, direction, height, ascension rate, pressure, temperature and humidity. That information is compiled and used by 96th Test Wing engineers for various developmental and operational tests. (U.S. Air Force photo/Samuel King Jr.)
